Catch the Rabbit
Written: 1973

What's wrong with having all the things
This trip here has to give?
Nothing - absolutely nothing,
It's the only way to live.

Sycophantic friends; a Mercedes Benz,
Fine wines; expensive clothes,
Palatial homes and the means to roam
Wherever pleasure goes.

Cashmere whenever and all silk ties
Meerschaum pipes and gold,
Revealing only the good I did
And leaving the rest untold.

Jaded and lost; lonely and spoiled,
Life's been a charade for me,
But if there's a God, and maybe there is,
What kind of man does he see?
