Out Where The Redwoods Stay
Written: 10/11/80

If you're feeling too important,
And humility's in the way,
Just send your ego packing,
Out where the redwoods stay.

But don't go showing off for them,
You know they can't care less,
They're busy growing quietly,
So who would you impress?

Just stand there dwarfed completely,
'Neath non-bravado wood,
And next time you're the big shot,
Remember where you stood.
