Pigtail Prayer
Written: 12/3/71

I love you Daddy and Mommy and baby brother Michael and all the people in the whole wide world. And when the sun shines tomorrow (and Daddy says it will) please keep me in my Christmas cart 'till I get down the hill. I love my dollies very much - please keep them safe and dry - 'cause when they wet I get upset and almost always cry. Help my Daddy lift me up way high above his head and hug me tight and say good night and tuck me into bed. And keep his stories short, God, please don't make them long - I fall asleep too soon, God, can't Daddy sing a song? And if my brother, Michael, breaks another dish (he breaks one every day) Mother says it's awful; there'll be none to put away. Amen, and thank you for my new puppy.
