Richard
Written:

I'll miss you dear friend,
Your dialects and faces,
Your love for friends and family,
The unremembered places.

I'll miss a lot of things - - -
Like meeting by chance in stores,
Talking about our children,
What wax to use on floors.

Stuff like that - - -
We never really planned too much,
"See ya later," usually,
Or maybe, "Keep in touch."

We just kinda got along,
The way some people do,
You'd ask me what was happening,
I'd question what was new?

It was genuine and real,
Memorable and fun,
We loved to talk of movies,
Joke around and pun.

You had the actors' charm,
A gentleman and caring,
Polite to those around you,
Just happy to be sharing.

And I'm going to miss you,
'Till we meet again,
God's made the reservations,
But hasn't told me when.
